Conversational Interoperability (COIN)

We have moved past the idea of a single "super-model" or "God Agent." The industry recognizes that the future lies in specialization: building lean, highly capable agents that excel at specific tasks. But as we build these specialized agents, a new challenge emerges: How do they actually work together?

This is where Conversational Interoperability (COIN) and the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol come into play.

It doesn't matter how any individual agent accesses their data. They can use FHIR, other APIs, or unstructured documents. COIN and A2A are really about managing that interaction between (specialized) agents. The agents themselves still need to access data.

But what if you could combine FHIR with COIN?

In this video, I share how we are approaching this using the A2A standard. Again, the goal isn't to replace data standards; it is to build a dynamic layer where specialized (artificial) intelligence can collaborate to solve complex healthcare scenarios
